In 2005 we were one of the first dental offices in the Philadelphia to offer an early detection oral cancer screening called Vizilite. Vizilite allowed us to see possible cancerous lesions up to one year before they could be seen with the naked eye.
We are proud to now offer you the latest and most up-to-date technology in the early detection of oral cancer. Identafi 3000 involves a revolutionary technique, utilizing three unique wavelengths of light. The light is projected through a slightly larger than normal dental mirror. No rinse is required. Oral cancer can be detected with increased efficiency.
EARLY DETECTION means EARLY TREATMENT, which means a CURE rate of over 80%.
It is strongly recommended that an early detection test for oral cancer be done annually for all adults 18 years of age and older.
We're Certified to Save a Life!
CPR certification is required for all dental professionals in order to maintain the license to practice. Every two years, Dr. Sukoneck and Wilson retain the services of the American Red Cross to provide a trainer to certify the entire office. In March this year, the staff participated in the training not only in CPR, but also the treatment for a victim of choking and the use of a defibrillator. Our office has one of the top rated defibrillators on site. We hope to never have to use this training, but if the situation arises, we are prepared.
